Product Description

oz clarke mirabeau wine Mirabeau RoséMirabeau rosé has the most exquisite rose pink colour, making it really beautiful to look at. The nose has aromas of the classic “fruits rouges”of wild strawberries, raspberry and redcurrant. A hint of pear drops falls away with a little time, to be replaced by a nice creaminess, and the aromas begin to meld together into a beautifully clean, complex whole. The palate offers a combination of ripe red fruits and zesty apple, with a decent amount of acidity which adds grip and texture. This is a wine that tends towards elegance, rather than power, yet it has a very impressive finish – those tangy, zesty, herby, almost spicy flavours linger for a very long time on the palate.

Here’s what the critics say:

“A lovely, juicy, peardrop and peach-fresh wine, youthful yet creamily soft.”
Oz Clarke’s 2012 Best Wines Guide

“Fragrant, fresh, vibrant, bright, crisp and lip-smackerous. Here’s to many more.”
Olly Smith, Mail on Sunday

“Mirabeau really stands out from the crowd.”
David Williams, The Observer

“Firm and scented with a satin texture. Good fresh, well integrated acidity.”
Jancis Robinson MW

“A lovely, balanced rosé … excellent …”
Terry Kirby, The Independent on Sunday

“This is a seriously good dry rosé”
Tom Bruce-Gardyne. Glasgow Herald
