Olive harvesting with the family in Provence

Provence Video

As is often the way in Provence, friends and family get roped in to help with harvesting crops, be they grapes or in this case olives. Here we all get stuck in at a friends property down the road at Canadel. They have around 1,000 trees and you can imagine, it takes some time to pick them all. After the olives have been collected, it’s down to the mill for pressing.

I became captivated with the world of wine whilst on a visit to the Barossa Valley during my gap year in Australia. I went on to join a London wine merchant and studied wine for several years before starting my own wine business at 24.
