Et voilà again: How to open a bottle of wine with a flip-flop

Always looking at ways to make life a little easier and more fun, here we use a variation on the shoe method – using a Gandys flip-flop (a.k.a. zōri, thong, jandal, slappy etc.), and it works surprisingly well!

PLEASE EXERCISE CAUTION WHEN TRYING THIS. WINE BOTTLES CAN SHATTER AND COCONUTS CAN FALL OUT OF TREES. WORKS BEST WITH DIAM CORKS AND OLDER NATURAL CORKS.

Gandys was created by two bothers Rob and Paul Forkan after the tragic loss of their parents in the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004.

10% of all  profits go directly into the Gandys Foundation, the “Orphans for Orphans” mission, which supports children in need of basic essentials such as nutrition, shelter and education. It has already started to make an impact by funding children’s homes in India and Sri Lanka and the vision is to open them all around the world.
