Angela Muir MW on the new 2012 vintage of Mirabeau Blanc

This is only our second vintage making a white wine and we’re really pleased with it. Mirabeau Cotes de Provence blanc is a delicious, floral blend of rounded, lemony Sémillon and crisp, fresh, herby Rolle (a.k.a. Vermentino).  Gentle lees stirring and the merest hint of oak help make this is an accomplished wine with subtle layers of complexity on the palate and a lovely crisp dry finish.

This white is ideal chilled as an aperitif but also goes beautifully with all sorts of Mediterranean foods, grilled fish, chicken, salads and so much more.

I became captivated with the world of wine whilst on a visit to the Barossa Valley during my gap year in Australia. I went on to join a London wine merchant and studied wine for several years before starting my own wine business at 24. I sold the business aged 30 and went into Telecoms for 15 years, during which time I began cooking up the plan to create Mirabeau.
