It was an emotional last tasting with Nathalie Longefay, our oenologue, as she looks to move onto a new and exciting adventure in 2021 as head winemaker for Chateau Mascaronne under the new ownership of Michel Reybier, who also owns Cos d’Estournel in Bordeaux. After nearly 8 years by our side, we are very sad to see her leave, but also excited for her and her future.

Nathalie has been instrumental to Mirabeau and we are grateful to her for her time, dedication and expertise she has brought to our winemaking over the years. It was also lovely being able to create the style of our domaine wine together with her.
Nathalie has carefully managed the transition and has handed over responsibility to our new oenologue Pablo Laborde, who has recently joined CAP from Moët-Hennessy.

Having started a degree in chemical engineering, Pablo was quickly won over by the wine industry having spent time as part of his summer job working in tourism tasting, talking and visiting winemakers and vineyard in his homeland of Argentina. He soon changed direction and obtained his Technical Diplôme National d’Oenologie.
Having gone on to specialise in Viticulture, his career to date has spanned several continents and some of the best wineries. From assistant winemaker at Château Auzias in Carcassone to spending four years with the Familia Zuccardi in Argentina among the most famous wineries in the country, and working as a consultant in China for Château Auzias. Over the past 4 years working for LVMH working between Argentina and Spain before joining Cabinet d’Agronomic Provençale (CAP) and now Mirabeau, as our winemaker.
