‘Greece with the Flo Show’ workshop

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of sponsoring a 5 day-photography, filmmaking and styling retreat hosted by Flore Vallery-Radot and held on the beautiful Greek island of Paros.

Flore is a Frenchy based in Sydney, and last year she started organising the most amazing workshops/retreats. She is a workshop wizard, and her attention to detail and knowledge of photography makes her the perfect person to organise meaningful workshops.

Paros is one of the chicest islands of the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. Less touristic to its neighbours Santorini and Mykonos, Paros is still very much inhabited by locals and has kept its authenticity.

12 participants came from all over the world to learn photography from incredible teachers: Kim Klassen, a Canadian photographer and stylist, Lean Timms, an Australian lifestyle and travel photographer, and Xanthe Berkeley, a British photographer and filmmaker. British flower stylist Karen Baldry was styling the tables and arranging flowers.

All the participants, teachers and helpers were staying in a beautiful property owned by Greek cookbook author Sandra Choremi, located right by the beach.

The food was prepared by our very own Sophie Bellard and her right-hand Julia Rumsey.

Fresh and delicious Mediterranean dishes were on the menu, with products coming from the veggie patch or from local producers: Greek salad, sardines in the oven, tzatziki, traditional spanakopita (spinach pies), braised octopus, fresh fruits, fig and grape pavlovas… and so much more.

The program included a trip on a traditional fishing boat, a visit to a local ceramicist and a painting class, and of course photoshoots and photography classes.

After a long day of learning, everyone would gather under the veranda to enjoy a glass of La Folie, followed by a fantastic dinner paired with our Mirabeau Classic rosé.

It was an inspiring 5 days filled with laughter and sisterhood.

Congratulations Flore, you organised a beautiful event and we were so happy to be a part of it!
