Mirabeau on show at the Foodies Festival at Hampton Court

Blog Mirabeau story

Wines of Provence kindly invited us to attend the Foodies Festival recently and it was a huge amount of fun. And given that it rained the whole week prior to the event and started again on the Tuesday after it finished, I’d say we got really rather lucky with the weather too!

It was great that we could see so many old faces as the event took place less than a mile from our last house in the UK. So, what better way to spend a sunny Bank Holiday weekend than pouring our own wine for some of our oldest friends?!

For the fifth time the Foodies Festival played host to some of the best producers, chefs and restaurants the UK has to offer.

I became captivated with the world of wine whilst on a visit to the Barossa Valley during my gap year in Australia. I went on to join a London wine merchant and studied wine for several years before starting my own wine business at 24. I sold the business aged 30 and went into Telecoms for 15 years, during which time I began cooking up the plan to create Mirabeau.
