Parker Points: World’s most famous wine critic gives top score to Mirabeau

We couldn’t believe our eyes when the undisputed world famous wine critic, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate gave Mirabeau our top score yet, 91 Points for Pure! That was on top of the 90 Points last year and a not-too-shabby 89 Points 3 years in a row for Classic.

Here are their tasting notes:

2014 Mirabeau Classic Rosé

A beautiful, clean and classy rosé that’s loaded with notions of peach, cherry blossom and watermelon, the 2014 Rose from Mirabeau is medium-bodied, fruit loaded, supple and juicy. Well-made and classy, it has the freshness and purity to stand on its own, but would be a perfect meal starter as well. I suspect it’s best consumed over the coming summer months, but wouldn’t be surprised to see it still drinking nicely this time next year.

2014 Mirabeau Pure Rosé

Just slightly lighter in color than the classic Mirabeau Rose, the 2014 Cotes de Provence Pure Rose comes from higher elevation sites and offers terrific notes of wild strawberries, framboise, dried stones and subtle floral notes on the nose. Elegant, lively, silky and pure, it’s a classy and perfectly balanced rosé that’s about as good as Provencal rosés can get. Drink it over the coming summer months.
